My older children where HUGE and I mean HUGE Blues Clues fans. Don’t show them this post, because of course two of them are all grown up now and saying that is like showing off baby pictures of them in the bathtub to their boyfriend and/or girlfriend. That’s the fun part about starting all over! My two younger children enjoyed Blues Clues, Super Why (a personal favorite of mine) and now they have been able to check out the brand new show Creative Galaxy, all of which come from creator Angela Santomero.
Angela Santomero has been changing the way kids watch TV for 15 years. She’s the creator and executive producer of the landmark Nickelodeon series Blue’s Clues and the popular PBS Kids series Super Why as well as the Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood spin-off series Daniel the Tiger’s Neighborhood. On June 27, Angela’s newest brainchild, Creative Galaxy starring Jason Priestley, becomes the first original children’s series to launch on Amazon. She’s an Emmy nominee and recipient of the prestigious Peabody Award for Outstanding Children’s Programming.
She also has her popular blog, AngelasClues.com, where she offers a variety of unique insights for parents. And like AtoZ Learning Tree she tries to help parents with many unique ideas and resources as boredom busters for the summer and throughout the year.
After or talk my kids and I headed to Amazon to check out Creative Galaxy. I think one of the things we like best were the ideas or “take aways” with things we can do, build and create at home.
Find out more about Creative Galaxy and ideas for boredom busting in our interview. (It’s audio only – but enjoy!)
